The Reason:
It is simple: The transition from mission to independent adult life can be a huge challenge. You go from huge amounts of structure, gospel study time, constant companionship with another person to a life with huge amounts of freedom, alluring distractions, old habits, and new pressures and stresses. There seems to be much less time available for pure gospel study and testimony building.

The mission of “The Return” and our event is to empower recently returned missionaries as they transition from full-time mission life into faithful mature disciples of Christ by 1) Maintaining their conversion, 2) Focusing their life’s purpose and 3) embracing growth and change with the help of Jesus Christ.
Cost, What's Included

Common Questions:
Q: How much does this cost?
A: For the Oct 2024 retreat, just $140. Normally this retreat would cost $695. What we will ask at the end of the retreat is that you donate whatever amount you can to "pay it forward". Those donations will go towards scholarships for the next retreat.
Q: Is this like a wilderness experience type retreat?
A: No, we have some activities that are outdoors, even a visit to Zion but the accommodations are top class.
Q: Do I need money for anything while I am there?
A: No, everything is included. You just need to take care of your own travel to and from the site. If you have questions about car-pooling please let us know and we can try and find others who may want to connect and travel together.
Q: I didn't serve for a full 2 years, can I still attend.
A: Yes! You are welcome to attend!
Q: It has been awhile since I got home but I am interested, can I come?
A: Most who attend will have been home within the last 18 months but we are open to having anyone come who has been home within the last 4 years.
Q: If I fly in where would I fly to and how would I get there?
A: The Las Vegas Airport or St. George Airport is the closest. If you fly into Vegas you can take the St. George Shuttle to St. George and then we could work to help get you a ride to and from Toquerville or we can find others who may be flying into Vegas also and you could carpool.
